Chris Rudge - Off Grid Systems

Chris Rudge – Off Grid Systems

Having spent many years as an electrical installer, it was a natural progression to move into renewable energy after equipping the overland vehicle he took to Africa with solar auxiliary power to run lights, cameras, etc. Besides having a wealth of experience in a wide variety of electrical and electronic disciplines, from household electrics through to digital CCTV systems and two way radio, Chris has worked on major projects with national and local companies.

From the early beginning on solar power in 2005, Chris was already qualified to City & Guilds and the MCS standards when the Early Solar boom hit the UK. The company installed over 600 Solar PV installations alone on Homes and Commercial buildings. We operate fully skilled installation teams and fully qualified electricians. We are now one of the most experienced Renewable installation company’s in the South West and have carried out installations for the RNLI, National Trust, East Devon Council and the NHS as well as many homes & businesses have benefited from lower energy bills over the last 10 years.

Off Grid power systems are an old challenge for Chris, having started in this area back in 2005 for vehicle based systems. With the improvement in technology and effective battery systems coming onto the market, carefully calculated systems are now within reach for a standard home or small business, whether out in the wilderness of Dartmoor or in the middle of town.
